Joint Minority Mentorship Program (JMMP) 2025 Kick-Off Event

Foster Garvey was proud to host its 7th annual Joint Minority Mentorship Program (JMMP) kick-off event on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

JMMP aims to pair law students and new attorneys who self-identify as being from historically marginalized or underrepresented groups with mentor attorneys and judges to support mentees as they prepare to enter and navigate their legal careers.

Each year, participants are selected and formally matched. At the annual kick-off event, mentor-mentee pairs meet to create their own agreement regarding discussion topics, meetings and follow-up activities. While the timeframe for the formal JMMP mentor-mentee pairing is one year, the relationships often carry on well beyond the program.
